Horror Vacui
Pavel Strnad travaille aussi bien l'animation que le dessin, abstrait que figuratif, à la main ou par ordinateur, en couleur ou en noir et blanc. Ses films et dessins sont empreints d'un univers onirique dense et intense, basé sur une exigence intuitive où l'inconscient et le lâchez prise jouent un rôle non négligeable. L'artiste se joue des symboles et des repères avec habileté et grace, et nous offre alors une expérience mêlée d'étrangeté et de confusion, entre l'absence de sens et le trop-plein de sens.
Pavel Strnad est né à Prague (CZ) en 1977. Il est diplômé de l'Académie d'Architecture et de Design de Prague.
Pavel Strnad works with animation and drawing, whether abstract or figurative, hand-drawn or computer aided, in color or black and white. His movies and drawings are intensely compelling dreamscapes, based upon an intuitive exigency in which the subconscious plays an important part. The artists mischeviously plays with symbols, building an experience of uncanniness and confusion, somewhere between absence of meaning and excess of meaning.
Pavel Strnad (Prague, CZ, 1977) is graduated from The Academy for Architecture and Design of Prague.

Carte blanche à Charlotte Moth
'Bétonsalon evening, Paris, France, 2008' a tout d'abord été présentée à l'occasion d'un événement organisé par Falke Pisano à Bétonsalon en janvier de cette année . La pièce sera ici montrée pour la première fois dans sa version complète. Charlotte Moth a récemment exposé son travail à Pavillon 7 au Palais de Tokyo, The Unfair Fair, Rome, en 2007, ainsi qu'à Jet à Berlin, Project à Dublin, et lors de The Backroom à la Kadist Foundation.
Charlotte Moth est née à Carshalton (UK) en 1978. Elle est actuellement résidente au Pavillon, Palais de Tokyo.
'Bétonsalon evening, Paris, France, 2008' was presented initially as a livework at an evening of artists presentations organised by the artist Falke Pisano at the Bétonsalon, Paris in January of this year. The work will this time be exhibited in its extended version. Charlotte Moth has recently shown work in group shows such as Pavillon 7 at the Palais de Tokyo, The Unfair Fair, Rome, in 2007 at Jet in Berlin, Project in Dublin, and The Backroom at the Kadist Foundation.
Charlotte Moth (Carshalton, UK, 1978) is participating in the current promotion of the Pavillon at the Palais de Tokyo.
